AI Prompt Optimizer is a privacy-focused Chrome extension that helps optimize your AI prompts. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Data Collection: NONE

We do NOT collect any user data. This extension:

• Has no servers or databases
• Does not track users
• Does not store personal information
• Does not collect browsing history

How It Works

1. You type a prompt on an AI website (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.)
2. You click our "🧠 AI" button to optimize
3. Your text is sent directly to OpenAI using YOUR API key
4. You see the optimized version and choose which to use
5. No data is stored by our extension

Local Storage Only

The extension stores these items locally in your browser:

• Your OpenAI API Key: Stored securely in browser storage
• Extension Preferences: Basic settings

This data never leaves your device except when YOU use YOUR API key with OpenAI.

Third-Party Services

OpenAI

When you use the optimization feature, your prompt is sent to OpenAI's API using your personal API key. This is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

Permissions Explained

• storage: To save your API key locally
• host_permissions: To work with AI chatbot sites

Your Rights

• All data is stored locally on your device
• Uninstall the extension to remove all data
• You control when optimization happens
• You own and control your OpenAI API key
